Library, in various libraries in Ireland, in several university libraries and on the spot investigations in
County Galway.

FIDDAUN CASTLE gives a short illustrated description of a well preserved O Shaughnessys fortification almost within 'hailing' distance of the other Hynes and O Shaughnessys castles of the Land of Glorious Aidhne.

A SHORT GUIDE TO KILMACDUAGH describes the ancient ruins of Kilmacduagh near Gort in County Galway. There, near the leaning tower are to be found the Hynes Abbey and the O Shaughnessy Cathedral on a site founded by the lineal patron, St. Colman MacDuagh.

THE HYNES SEPT followed WHITE SHEETED FORT giving some extra snippets from the history of the Clan Hynes. The ballad, How Young O Heyne Slew the Long Black hand, is included in full. The Hynes Chalice, used during penal times in Ireland is mentioned and details are given about Domingo O Heyne, who was born in Cahererillan, one of the five clan castles in
Ireland. He became a Captain of Dragoons in service with the King of Spain after the Hynes lost their territories.
